Five tablets of chocolate under Fine Food brand, all produced in Romania, are waiting for its customers in Metro:

  • Fine Food Milk chocolate 90g - contains at least 25% cocoa dry substance and minimum 20% dry milk substance
  • Fine Food Hazelnut chocolate (10%) 90g - contains at least 25% cocoa dry substance and minimum 20% dry milk substance

  • Fine Food White chocolate, with cappuccino cream 100g - contains at least 21% cocoa dry substance and minimum 25% dry milk substance

The new packaging, in bright colors, brings two novelties. Average nutritional values for one portion of 20g are also found on the front side of the pack. They can be easily seen by consumers, without being required to raise the product from the shelf. Also on the front side of the pack we can find a second positioning of EAN code, besides the already usual one on the back of the item. It is a very useful detail that makes scanning of the product easier and thus reduces waiting times at the cash registers.

Fine Food chocolate has been strategically listed individually and not in Metro units of two, three or five pieces. This is an advantage used by Metro to propel their own products in front of manufacturer brands, targeting thus consumers as individuals who buy small quantities of products.

Fine Food Biscuits with chocolate 125g

The two new items from biscuits category are produced in Germany:

  • Fine Food Biscuits with butter and milk chocolate (63%) 125g
  • Fine Food Biscuits with butter and dark chocolate (63%) 125g

Items have inscriptions in eight languages on the packages, that shows the retailer intention to distribute products through at least as many national networks. An element that should not be neglected in terms of negotiating power found behind such a distribution areas. EAN code was printed on the package on three different sides and products were listed individually in the network and not in Metro units.
